Initial App Setup Using P2P Connection

  1. Ensure P2P (Platform Access) is Enabled:
    • Before starting, ensure that P2P is enabled on your NVR. Navigate to Main Menu > Network > P2P on your NVR interface.
    • Make sure your NVR is connected to the internet and showing "Online" status.
  2. Install the DMSS App:
  3. Add a Device to the DMSS App:
    • Open the DMSS app and log in or create an account if you haven't already.
    • On the home screen, tap the "+" icon to add a new device.
    • Select "SN/Scan" and scan the QR code displayed on your NVR interface under Main Menu > Network > P2P or the QR code on the device's packaging.
    • If the QR code is not available, select "Manual Add" and enter the device's serial number.
  4. Configure Your Device:
    • Choose the appropriate device type from the list (e.g., NVR, DVR/XVR, Wired Camera).
    • Enter a name for your device (e.g., "Home CCTV") that you can easily recognize later.
    • Enter the admin username and the default password abc12345. If you've changed the password, use the updated one.
    • Tap "Save" to complete the device configuration.

Event Notification Setup

  1. Subscribe to Notifications:
    • From the home screen, find your device and tap the three dots (menu icon) next to it.
    • Select "Device Details" from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enable Notifications:
    • In the Device Details screen, tap "Notification" and switch it on to enable event notifications.
  3. Configure Alert Types:
    • In the Notification settings, choose the types of alerts you want to receive, such as AI Analysis features (e.g., Tripwire, Missing Object).
    • For each alert type, select the specific channels (cameras) you want to monitor and customize the notification settings to your preference.
    • Tap "Save" to apply these settings.

By following these steps, your DMSS app should be fully configured for remote access to your CCTV system and real-time event notifications.
